What a fantastic weekend April 17th & 18th was - such a fitting way to mark 100 years of life for Morrinsville Baptist Church. Around 300 people attended some or all of the celebrations which included a welcome, echoes (anecdotes) from the past, photos, and afternoon tea. A sumptuous Centennial Dinner was followed by an amazing concert that took the audience on a guided tour through the decades - with more than a bit of artistic license! More food followed with a supper fit for a king. Sunday service was a wonderful mixture of old and new, reflections on the past and vision for the future. Attended by the Mayor of Morrinsville, the MP and also the President of the Baptist Churches of New Zealand, plus a building-bursting congregation of past and present church family, the service had something for everyone.
