creche_1Luke 18:16-17 But Jesus called the children come to him and said “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  I tell you the truth; anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

Our Crèche exists to aid in building good foundations for our children during their early years and to reinforce the message ‘Jesus loves us’.

Our aim is to provide a safe and loving environment where parents can leave their children with confidence during the morning service.  We believe parents should model to their children the importance of being part of a Christian community and of regularly worshipping together.

Our Crèche provides children with some 'first steps' in church family life. The morning starts with some free play, either outside in the sandpit, on the bikes or swings, or inside with blocks, dolls or puzzles.  The children will then have some morning tea (a drink and biscuits) and a Bible story. Next comes a fun activity that normally relates to the story or to the theme (Christmas, Easter etc).

The Crèche is run in B block (exit through the left rear doors of the Hall and head down the stairs, follow signs).  Start time is 10.55am and runs till the end of service around 12.00 noon. Please sign your own children IN and OUT of creche and inform the creche of where you are seated in the auditorium. Prompt pick up is essential as the rooms need to be packed up and returned to how we found them immediately after the service.

Are you 'called' to help?
We are always in need of new carers for crèche! If you enjoy working with pre-school aged children and are available for a Sunday crèche shift, we would love to hear from you!  We are also always in need for those to go on an emergency roster (if a workers calls in sick). Please note that all creche helpers will be required to undergo a Police Check for child safety requirements.
