Alan Davey has been the Assistant Pastor at MBC for 5 years. His primary role is to oversee the pastoral needs of the church and to provide pastoral care within the wider community as needed. He is married to Ginni, and has 3 children, Rebecca 21 and married, Ben 19 & Bess 14. Alan has lived in the wider Morrinsville district for over 30 years. The first 18 of those years were spent as a Dairy farmer, before moving to a small lifestyle block on the outskirts of Morrinsville in 1993 where he worked for a private training provider in town for the next 11 years supporting unemployed people into finding full time employment. Alan: “Sometimes I have to pinch my self when I think of what I now do in my week. I could not imagine something I would rather be doing more than this work... Even fishing is a distant second (that’s God for you)" |
