We have a team of leaders headed up by our two pastors; Phil Pawley and Alan Davey and our four elders; Chris Compton, Kevin Cook, Murray Edgar and Greg Smith. We have many other competent people who help lead the mosaic of ministries and activities that make up our church’s shared life and mission.

Phil was appointed as Senior Pastor on 14th September 2009. His primary responsibility is preaching and teaching, and the direction of the church. To aid communication in the church we post sermons and small group notes online.

Kevin and Sue have been members cookof MBC since the mid 1990's during which time they have been involved in a variety of ways including the worship team and also leading the Intermediate Youth group. Kevin was appointed to eldership in September 2010.

Alan Davey has been the Assistant Pastor at MBC for 5 years. His primary role is to oversee the pastoral needs of the church and to provide pastoral care within the wider community as needed.

Chris and Jane and family settled in Morrinsville since 1995. They have 3 teen age and young adult sons; Daniel, Jeremy and Rhys. They arrived without knowing anyone in the district and found in Morrinsville Baptist Church a community that could support them and help them grow in faith together.

Greg and Margaret have been members of MBC for over 33 years with Greg an elder for most of the last 19 years. They count it a privilege and blessing to be part of a fellowship that has aided their growth in God in such large measure. Greg has been on the eldership for 18 years (with a years break in 2001/02) and had various other leadership roles over the years.
