One Another verses PDF Print E-mail
There are at least 14 verses in the New Testament that use the words 'One Another'. Broadly speaking these
offer a glimpse at what the life of the church might look like if we love one another (the primary command of Christ).
These also provide the framework for our sermons and small group studies over the coming weeks.
PLEASE note that these are not necessarily in any order:

•    Love one another
•    Serve one another
•    Accept one another
•    Honour one another
•    Live in Harmony with one another
•    Greet one another
•    Be hospitable to one another
•    Agree with one another
•    Teach and admonish one another
•    Bear with one another
•    Forgive one another
•    Submit to one another
•    Encourage one another
•    Spur one another on
And 2 warnings:
•    Don’t judge one another
•    Don’t  slander (or gossip) one another

The verses these come from are:

Love one another:

Joh 13:35  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
1Pe 1:22  Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.

Serve one another:

Honour one another:

Live in Harmony with one another:
Rom 12:16  Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
1Pe 3:8  Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.

Greet one another:

Be hospitable to one another:
1Pe 4:9  Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.

Agree with one another:
1Co 1:10  I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Teach and admonish one another:
Col 3:16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
Rom 15:14  I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another.

Forgive one another:

Spur one another on:
Heb 10:24  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

And 2 warnings:
Rom 14:13  Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.

Jas 4:11  Brothers, do not slander (gossip) one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.
