The Food Bank is run in conjunction with our Budget Service and is primarily to help budget clients reduce debt faster by us providing food so the grocery money can be used to pay off debt. Clients have to commit to regular weekly visits and work to a budget prepared between themselves and the budget advisor.

We also consider ‘one off’ emergency food parcels.

Hours and location are the same as the Budget Service.

Monday.............9:30am - 11:30am
Tuesday.............9:30am - 1:30pm
Wednesday........9:30am - 1:30pm
Thursday............9:30am - 12:30pm
Friday................9:30am - 11:30am

Location:
Our office is located at the Morrinsville Baptist Church 56 -58-Morrhouse Street, Morrinsville.
Access is up the ramp beside the service lane.

Aims:

• To provide a collection point for donated food and money.

About us:

• Began in 1989
• Food is donated by several  local churches
• Contributions and financial donations come from Community Service clubs/groups and individuals
• We have a collection bin at Morrinsville Countdown Supermarket
• Monetary donations help us buy perishable goods and other items
• Farmers donate meat for our large freezer
• We also freeze donated bread
