Our aim is to “Encourage and challenge woman to develop and grow in their relationship with God and with each other.”

We provide social events, Small Group's and Retreats to help deepen women's walk with God.  These events are also a great time to develop friendships and experience the joy of giving and receiving encouragement and support. Occasionally we run other events and we also support the annual Sista’s Conference in Auckland.

Activities Women’s Ministry provides:
Simply 4/Us
A monthly fellowship/fun night with some evenings being a surprise format.  This is suitable to bring friends to who don't attend church as the evenings are informal and relaxed. A short devotion is normally shared each evening. Most evenings are held at the church but we do travel to venues as well. We aim to finish by 9.15 pm.

Past events have included:
Movie outings, Card making, Dessert evening, Pamper night, Gift ideas demo, Video evening, Mid-winter Dinner, Games night, Ten Pin Bowling, Visit to Sculpture Park, Te Aroha Hot Pools, Worship evening, Women sharing their own story.

When: First Monday of each month except January and February
Where: Venue is advertised each month
Time: Varies depending on the activity but usually around 7 – 7.30pm
Cost: 'Gold coin' donation.  Some events cost extra.

Small Groups:
We offer 6 small groups at different times and locations to help cater for various circumstances women face. Over 40 women are involved in these groups, and many have discovered them to be an excellent place to deepen their personal walk with God and to get to know a core group of other woman better.

‘Seek ME’ Retreat’
This is a quiet, contemplative Retreat for up to 18 women. The focus is on listening to God as individuals and guidance is given using scripture and creation as a pathway to hear from God. This Retreat is held each year on the weekend after Labour weekend. Accommodation is single rooms with shared bathrooms - linen supplied.
When: October 29 – 30 2010

'Just Us Girls’ Retreat’
This is our bi-annual Retreat for all the church ladies. Usually  we have around 50 attend and enjoy a good balance of relaxing, getting to know each other better, great food (that we don’t have to cook!) and being challenged in our relationship with God.  Accommodation is shared rooms and bathrooms.  Supply your own linen.
When: May 18-20 2012
