Nine years ago MBC began to investigate building new facilities. In 2008 the church agreed to build once certain Key Indicators were in place. An amazing offering on Sunday 25th April 2010 that exceeded one million dollars meant we were in a position to start building stage one on 6 September 2010.

By February 2011 stage one was complete with new offices and the new lounge fully functional and ready for the mutitude of uses it has subsequently provided for.

On Sunday 11th November 2012 the church family held a new two year pledge and raised a further $1 million. This will allow the auditorium, foyer, glassed entry, toilet block, offices and Kindergarten upgrade to take place.

Such an offering is a wonderful testimony to the goodness of God and the generosity of his people.

The new phase of the building process began 10th December 2012 and should be completed early November 2013.

 

BUT BUILDING A NEW FUTURE IS MORE ABOUT BUILDING US than it is about money or facilities. So whilst we continue progressing the physical building programme, we are working at building the Body; encouraging personal growth as Christ's disciples and enabling a greater awareness and commitment to reaching out with God's love.

Our DiGs (discipleship groups) are our primary way of building for the future. After all, whilst physical building facilities will help us enormously, unless we are built up in faith and mature as disciples we will take these blessings to ourself rather than use them to God's glory.
