Alpha is for everyone. It is especially appropriate for people asking the big questions of life, but is also great for those already involved in a church.

Alpha is held at in our Rose Garden lounge at 56 Moorhouse Street. The first Wednesday evening starts at 6.30pm with a meal. The following 9 Wednesday evenings start at 7.15pm with drinks and nibbles. Each evening includes a talk (DVD or live) on the particular topic for the week. Why Alpha ?

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a non-threatening and low key way that is relaxed, friendly and fun. More than 14 million people in 163 countries have done Alpha in churches, homes, schools, universities, the workplace, and even prisons. And many people come to faith in Jesus Christ through it.

For us, Alpha is more than just a course in Christian basics or a nifty outreach idea. It is an excellent first step to renewing our own commitment to God and to helping the people of our town and district grapple with matters of faith.

Our desire is for the whole church to do Alpha and to invite friends and contacts to enjoy Alpha as well. And whilst this is only step one in our learning process, it provides that essential starting point and the momentum we need to become a truly missional community of faith.
